altek Information Technology, Inc. is one of the largest computer repair and maintenance companies in the United States. They provide top-notch product, service, and value to their customers.
I know these sound like small words when I say that, but this company has been around for a little over forty years and has changed the way businesses do business for many of the people who work for them. I think most of you have heard about the company’s founder, John Vladeck, and his vision, but the story behind Altek’s operation is a little different.
The story goes that John Vladeck invented the first computer repair business back in the 1970s. He is said to have said that he wanted a business that would be “as good as the other,” or at least “better.” That meant his competitors had to follow his rules or be out-maneuvered by him. Well, that’s how Altek Works ended up with its acronym, which stands for “Altek Technology Inc.
They are now just one of the many companies that make computers, all of which are based on the same idea that John Vladeck had. Altek uses proprietary technology that allows it to offer its products at a very affordable price point. The company has many different locations throughout the United States, and it may have even moved its headquarters abroad (for reasons we’ll get into later).
Altek is one of the more popular companies, so you might think it would be a fairly easy job to join. But it wasn’t.
As it turns out, that was pretty much the idea. Altek has made it so that anyone can join, but it really is a very difficult endeavor. To join, you must first complete a short training program. During this training you will have to show Altek that you understand their proprietary technology, that you understand the different ways that the product works, and that you understand the product’s history. If you do all that, then Altek will be willing to make an exception for you.
