This can include a lot of things, but one of the most common ones is being a good employee. Although that doesn’t necessarily mean you are the smartest person in the room, or that you always have the best ideas, it does mean that you work really hard and put in a lot of time.
I’ve worked with a lot of businesses over the years and I’ve seen this type of situation before. The CEO has some real issues, and the employee who is doing everything possible to fix them is pretty miserable. This is not an uncommon problem, and its a good thing to know that you can step in whenever someone starts acting like a real pain in the ass.
