Switching from Windows operating system to MAC can be a tricky process. The good news is that it’s not impossible and with the right set of instructions, you can make the switch in no time! With this guide we will show you how to partition your hard drive and install Mac OS on your computer. These are the steps:

1) Get an external bootable installer for installing Mac OS (we recommend using DiskMaker X).

2) Run the installer by plugging in your USB key into a port on your computer.

3) Follow all prompts, including formatting disk partitions and choosing which disk partition to install onto. Once installation is complete, restart your computer while holding down Command-R until you see the desktop.

This is all you need to know about partitioning your hard drive and installing Mac OS onto it!

How to Switch from Windows OS to MAC: A User Guide

The following guide will teach you step by step how to switch from a windows operating system to an Apple Macintosh. This is for those who have made up their minds and are ready for this radical change in lifestyle. Although drastic, switching can be done with some effort and patience on your part. The main thing that you need before starting any transition like this is a backup plan; as it may take quite a bit of time, there would not want anything bad happening in the process. Of course what exactly should be backed up depends on your personal data needs but typically one could back up everything found under C:\Users\%username%. It would be best to back up any other important files on your computer as well, in case of data loss.

Step One: Create A Partition On Your Hard Drive for Mac OS X and Transfer Files From Windows To It

The first step that you will want to take before switching operating systems from a windows PC running MAC OS then transferring all necessary file onto it is creating space or partition on your hard drive and transferring all the pertinent files over so when they are needed they can just be accessed with ease. You may also need a CD/DVD disk if there are some programs that you still require such as Microsoft Office but have been created for the Windows Operating System. All major software companies like Microsoft, Adobe and Apple have Mac versions of their software so you will just need to make sure that you are downloading the right one.

Step Two: Check Compatibility To Make Sure That All Programs Are Compatible With MAC OS X

Another important step before switching your operating system from Windows PC running MAC OS then transferring all necessary files over is checking if any programs or applications may still be incompatible with it. You want to download a list known as “Rosetta” which lists all compatible software for your new Operating System (OS) by clicking here and entering in your email address. It does not take more than two minutes at most to complete this checkup on what could cause major issues down the road.

partition is the opposite of compatibility is the same.

Step Three: Get Your New Computer Running MAC OS X Installed And Transfer Files Over From Windows PC to Macbook Air Or Pro (Use Backup Program) – this can take up to an hour or more if a large amount of files are being transferred over from your old operating system, so be patient and don’t interrupt anything! You want to set aside some time for all of these steps in order not to have any setbacks because you’re trying with everything you’ve got and it’s important that nothing goes wrong at this point in time. It would also help if you were connected to the internet while transferring data over from Windows PC to Macbook Air or Pro, so that you could download any updates for MAC OS X (since this would be a new computer).

Step Four: Customize Your Computer Settings  once your files are all transferred and everything is set up on your new computer, it’s time to customize what works best for you. This should take about an hour as well depending on how much customization needs to be done in order for things to work out smoothly with no problems at all. The first step when customizing settings is going into System Preferences > General where “Time” can be adjusted individually if desired by choosing either 12-hour format or 24-hour format.
