The internet is a marvelous thing in that it creates an endless stream of information that’s all of the time available, but it also makes it accessible to anyone with a computer and a willingness to use whatever search engine pops up.
The internet seems to have been more developed than the rest of our society. I’m not arguing that the internet is a good thing, but that people have found ways to use our internet time efficiently. For instance, with the rise of Google, people have found ways to use their computers to search for information on the internet. For instance, I get questions about how to use the internet to find out who I am.
The only thing I have to say about using the internet for any real time activities is that I have found ways to use my computer for these purposes. The first thing that came to mind is the fact that I get to read my books on the internet. I am not the only one.
While internet time is certainly a good thing, it comes with a great cost. For instance, using my computer for internet time is only a half-decent way to find out about myself – most of the time, I don’t even know the person I am talking to on the other end of it. The second thing that came to mind is my computer’s slow performance.
The internet is great for finding out about yourself, but it is nowhere near as good for finding out about others. If you want to find out about your friends, friends will find you. If you want to find out about your enemies, enemies will find you. If you want to find out about your favorite sports team, or your favorite movie franchise, you’ll find it.
Basically, I just told you that tech is a really bad thing. The internet is great for finding out what’s happening in the backwoods, but it is the one thing that is too often too slow to allow for that. That said, the tech industry has had a lot of bad press lately, particularly around privacy-related issues (not to mention all the ways in which corporations are increasingly using technology to spy on their own employees). As you may know, many of the things that make the internet great – like being able to have instant access to any of the web in seconds – are making it a bad place for privacy.
Of course, the real problem with tracking your movements and spying on your life is that it will be possible to do it without your knowledge. That means that all the data your are being tracked and all the data all of the corporations are getting is being stored somewhere. That means that some of the biggest privacy issues we have today could be with the very things we depend on to keep our privacy.
All of the big names in the tech industry (Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc.) already have access to all the data about your life that you give them. What you give them is all your information, and it could be used to do things like make you pay for things, or to track you across the web. This seems completely and totally unfair, but it’s not.
The problem with this is that most of the people who are currently collecting our information are doing it for profit. It is a lot like the Big Brother government, except that in this case there is no Big Brother, there is only one company.
