For the past few months, I have been trying to quit my job. I work for the nonprofit organization I work for and I have been working for this organization for over eight years. I have never quit my job before. I have been able to quit my job only three times; once for the first time in five years and once for the first time in three years.
I have already quit twice and I feel like I am going to quit again.
Of course, after so many times quitting, I am pretty sure you’re not supposed to quit in the first place. And no, I don’t mean quitting at work, I mean quitting at home. That is to say, I know you have no choice, but you do have a choice in how you will be spending your time in your new home.
I am going to do my best to not let you quit your job right now. I am going to try to be pleasant, positive, and not push your buttons. I am going to try to make myself as comfortable as possible with the idea that we are leaving a big part of our lives behind.
Okay, I’m going to say it again. I’m going to stop working at home. I’m going to stop being a nuisance to myself and my family. I am no longer a nuisance, I am going to quit. I am going to stop working at home. I am going to quit. I am quitting, and I am no longer a nuisance. I am quitting.
No, I won’t stop working at home. I will stop working at home. I will stop working at home. I will stop working at home. I will stop working at home. I will stop working at home. I will stop working at home.
Like I said, the whole point of this is to get you off your butt and into the kitchen, so that you can be more productive. But the whole point of this is to make you feel free to do anything at any time. That’s right. You don’t have to be at work, you can be doing whatever you want to do.
I do make a point of writing down my time and my schedule. I can work from anywhere and do whatever I want. I don’t have to do anything for anyone. I can work in the afternoon and then go home or I can work at night and then go home. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing. I have it all figured out.
This sounds weird, but I have found it to be very helpful. I am always free to work on whatever I want. I just have to make sure I dont work too much, or I might end up working more than I am comfortable with. And sometimes, if I want to work on something, I have to give myself a time limit. So I do a little mental check-in and make sure I am not working too much.
Not a great solution, but it works for me. I have found that I can work on something for more than a day, or I know I can work on it again quickly. I also have found that I can work on something for less than a day, and then I know I can work on it again quickly.
